Free Website Traffic Building Part II
Author: Kimberly Valentine
In Paid Website Traffic Building Part I we discussed methods of driving traffic that required money, but there are some great free options available to webmasters. For the newbies who have limited start up capital or the frugal webmaster, these options will not cost you a dime.
Traffic Exchanges
There are numerous exchanges on the net. A quick search on Google for the search term will generate many. Some of the good ones that I know delivers are Traffic Swarm and Autohits247. Traffic exchanges like this take less than 5 minutes to sign up and set up your site.
The exchanges operate on the premise that you view a certain number of other member sites so that they can view yours in return. By so doing you benefit by getting regular traffic to your site. The only drawback is that increased traffic may not necessarily lead to increased sales as visitors are not necessarily qualified prospects. This method is very good for driving traffic but not sales. But remember that increased traffic may lead to better traffic ranking in the search engines, which will in turn lead to improved qualified visitors and hits fro the search engines.
Some traffic sites allow you up to 1000 visitors per day. Some sites deal in hits instead of visitors and offer credits for viewing. Whichever site you choose, you probably cannot lose.
Traffic Software
How many newbies have spent countless hours clicking away viewing other peoples site. Today there are numerous software available that will do this for you. Some are completely free such as Crazy Browser, and will allow you to enter multiple sites that it automatically browses while you do more important things. This allows you to receive traffic to your site as often as you want it.
Article Directories
This is one that many persons are coming to realize has significant importance to their website development. By submitting your article to these directories you can get content for your own website while providing links back to your own website in the article. This increases the amount of one way links showing back to your site. The article you submit must have good content and be rich in keywords, especially if there is relevance to your site.

Building the Website of Your Dreams Not Your NightMares
(c)2001 Judi Singleton
In 1999, when I set out to build my first website I knew very little about html and even less about planning websites. Like a lot of Newbies I just struggled along learning as I went. I also knew very little about running a home business on the net. It is quite different than running a bricks and mortar store in some ways. I had run several business but never an online one. This article comes out of my personal school of hard knocks.
The first decision you must make is where you will host this new site. Do you want free web hosting? Here are some tips about choosing a free web host.
Try to go for the web hosts that have been around longer. If they already have a track record for longevity, chances are greater that they'll be around for the life of your site. Hosts like these include:
Geocities http://www.geocities.com; Tripod http://www.tripod.com; and Hypermart http://www.hypermart.net.

Ebay's style director wields power (San Jose Mercury News) On the front row of nearly every major New York runway show are fashion's elite: top editors from international magazines and newspapers, retail executives, television personalities and celebrities.
